Gloria, haunted by a troubled past, flees with her two daughters to take refuge in her childhood home on the shores of an abysmal lake. Years after losing her husband in a fire, she decides to start all over again, armed with a Beretta and the bare necessities.
But this radical change of life, between a worrying neighbour, a burning secret and a menacing visitor, plunges the trio into a whirlwind of tensions, revelations and dangers, pushing Gloria to cross unsuspected boundaries to protect her family.
