More than a year after the end of the World War I, Zhiu and Xeng, two Chinese workers hired by the French Army to join the war effort, are still in France, burying the dead bodies of unknown soldiers.
After a dramatic accident, Zhiu is alone and has no choice but to flee to the French countryside.
